Beautiful, casual, down-to-Earth: Shuswap riding is a real [re]treat.
A traditional meeting place for the Secwepemc first peoples, Canada’s Shuswap region is where water and wilderness, people and mountain bikes come together – a hub for lakeside adventures. Over 470km of mountain bike trails and cross country tracks serve up spokes of serious highland fun in all directions - big hit downhill, flow, berms, old school, cross-country, in town/out of town, backcountry wild and close-country au naturale, bike park features, loops, lines, descent, and distance. It’s a place where you can start your day with breathtaking interior fjords and end – no matter the trail – with your feet up at a pub or café. Oh, and you can access those communities by boat – or houseboat. Who needs to drive back to the hotel when you can float your accommodation to the trailhead?
Bound to float your boat.
The Shuswap is situated in south-central British Columbia midway between Vancouver, BC and Calgary, Alberta. The Trans Canada Hwy and Highway 97 make it easily accessible from all directions.
The Shuswap is serviced by two airports within a 1-2 hour drive. Kelowna International Airport (YLW) and Kamloops Airport (YKA)
