Dark Horse Comes to SilverStar Mountain Resort – Empowering Women in Mountain Biking

SilverStar Mountain Resort is excited to announce that Dark Horse 2026, a one-of-a-kind mountain bike event, is coming to SilverStar this summer. From June 27th to July 2nd, Casey Brown’s Dark Horse Freeride event and Academy brings together the world’s best female MTB athletes alongside emerging talents, creating a platform where dreams become reality.

Hosted at SilverStar’s world-class bike park, the week will have three main events:

Dark Horse Academy (June 27 – July 1) – a progression camp for women aged 14-25, designed to build confidence and skills on and off the bike, with insights on what it means to be a professional freerider. Led by some of the most inspiring women in freeride. This is where future Dark Horses rise

Dark Horse Community Ride (July 1) – come ride in the Bike Park with the pros! Party train at 5:00pm, meeting in the village following an athlete signing from 4:00pm. Free for anyone to join!

Jump Jam Invitational (July 2) – a freeride session featuring all the best women in MTB. Day 1 is held at SilverStar – come out and watch the pros in the slopestyle course 4:00pm to 7:00pm, over at Silver Queen. Live music, food trucks and an epic freeride line culminates to create an awesome day for the whole family. Day 2, on July 4th, is at Casey Brown's Ranch in Revelstoke and athlete-only event, but available to watch via the Dark Horse Instagram Account
