Exploring Valemount with guestagrammer Heather Pratt-Johnson
This week we featured photographer Heather Pratt-Johnson. Heather grew up in Sunnybrae, British Columbia and is a formally trained photographer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Thompson Rivers University. She specializes in unique portrait sessions in British Columbia.
She started photographing mountain biking in 2021 when her twin sister asked her to get some shots of her riding crew in Valemount. Since then, her mission has been to photograph more women in adventure sports, highlighting the community and camaraderie of female athletes.
Beyond photography, Heather is a schoolteacher who constantly inspires her classes to expand their view of the world and seek adventure!
